Lay Labouchere Staking Plan

The Lay Labouchere staking plan is based on a series of ascending consecutive numbers that represent units to be wagered. Each bet consists of the sum between the first and the last number in the series. There are two versions of this staking plan:

  • Normal: in this version, after each win the first and the last number of the series are removed. After a loss, the number of wagered units is added at the end of the sequence.
  • Reverse: in this version, after each win the number of wagered units is added at the end of the sequence. After a loss, the first and the last number of the series are removed.

There is a limit to the number of units that can be wagered. When all the elements of the series are cleared or the bet contains more units than the limit, the initial sequence is created again.

The value of the unit is calculated as percent of the bank and updated at the start of the sequence.

Settings

The following parameters can be configured in this staking plan:

  • 1 unit = X% of Y bank: the value of the unit expressed as percent of the bank.
    • X: the percent value.
    • Y: the type of bank to which the percent value is applied:
      • initial: the percent value is applied to initial bank.
      • current: the percent value is applied to current bank.
      • highest: the percent value is applied to highest bank.
  • First unit: the first number in the series.
  • Last unit: the last number in the series.
  • Max units to bet: the maximum number of units that can be wagered.
  • Split total stake when multiple selections qualify: this option splits the total stake equally among multiple selections in a race. If the option is not used the total stake is placed for each qualified selection.
  • Use Reverse Labouchere: if this option is not checked, the normal version of the staking plan is used. If the option is checked, the reverse version of the staking plan is used.
