D’alembert

The D’alembert staking plan starts the betting sequence with a wager of 1 unit. When a bet losses, the stake is increased by one unit and when a bet wins the stake is decreased by one unit. There is a maximum number of units that can be wagered. If a loss occurs when the number of units equals the maximum value, the stake returns to 1 unit.

The value of the unit is calculated as percent of the bank and updated at the start of the sequence.

Settings

The following parameters can be configured in this staking plan:

D’alembert staking plan settings
D’alembert staking plan settings
  • 1 unit = X% of Y bank: the value of the unit expressed as percent of the bank.
    • X: the percent value.
    • Y: the type of bank to which the percent value is applied:
      • initial: the percent value is applied to initial bank.
      • current: the percent value is applied to current bank.
      • highest: the percent value is applied to highest bank.
  • Maximum units to bet: the maximum number of units to wager. When this value is reached and a loss occurs, the stake returns to 1 unit.
  • Use dutching to calculate stake when multiple selections qualify: this option applies dutching algorithm to split the total stake among multiple selections in a race. If the option is not used the total stake is placed for each qualified selection.
