Back 1 Point Staking Plan

The Back 1 Point staking plan starts by placing a bet of 1 unit. The value of the unit is calculated as percent of the initial bank and remains unchanged during the betting session. The following rules apply:

Rule 1 – The equivalent in units for the race profit/loss is determined:

profit = raceProfitLoss / unitValue

where:

  • raceProfitLoss = profit/loss for the race.
  • unitValue = value of the unit.
  • profit = equivalent in units for the race profit/loss. If the computed value is not integer, it is rounded to the nearest integer.

Rule 2 – After each race a debit is calculated using the following formula:

current debit = previous debit + 1 – profit

where:

  • current debit = debit calculated after the current race.
  • previous debit = debit calculated after the previous race.
  • 1 = 1 unit.
  • profit = equivalent in units for the race profit/loss.

Rule 3 – The stake is increased by 1 unit after each race.

Rule 4 – If the new stake is greater than (current debit + 1) then it will be reduced to (current debit + 1).

Rule 5 – If current debit becomes less than zero then the stake returns to 1 unit.

Back 1 Point Staking Plan Example

Let’s assume the following settings:

  • Initial bank: £200
  • 1 unit = 2% of initial bank (£4)

Step 1

  • current debit = 0
  • number of units to bet is 1
  • total stake is £4
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 5
  • bet wins and the profit is £16 (4 units)
  • current bank is £216

Step 2

  • current debit = 0 + 1 – 4 = -3
  • number of units to bet is 1
  • total stake is £4
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 3
  • bet losses and the loss is £4 (1 unit)
  • current bank is £212

Step 3

  • current debit = -3 + 1 + 1 = -1
  • number of units to bet is 1
  • total stake is £4
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 4
  • bet losses and the loss is £4 (1 unit)
  • current bank is £208

Step 4

  • current debit = -1 + 1 + 1 = 1
  • number of units to bet is 2
  • total stake is £8
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 3
  • bet losses and the loss is £8 (2 units)
  • current bank is £200

Step 5

  • current debit = 1 + 1 + 2 = 4
  • number of units to bet is 3
  • total stake is £12
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 5
  • bet wins and the profit is £48 (12 units)
  • current bank is £248

Step 6

  • current debit = 4 + 1 – 12 = -7
  • number of units to bet is 1
  • total stake is £4
  • 1 selection qualifies at decimal odds of 4
  • bet wins and the profit is £12 (3 units)
  • current bank is £260
